I hope you all had a great summer. I know I did! My baby boy was born July 18 (Logan Quinn)! With any luck, he'll follow in Mom's footsteps, and be a 2x CT champ! As you may know, last year Central fenced a lot in NY - Nyack, Mamaroneck, Master's, etc. At least 3 or 4 or those teams, all 3 weapon teams, said they would travel to Central for a meet, and are eager to fence CT schools. They tend to set their schedule earlier than we do, so I am hoping to get some dates from anyone interested in fencing them. I would prefer to do it in late Jan/ early Feb (totally selfish on my part - this is a 99% rebuilding year for me). Central's gym is very big, and I can also probably get the cafe too if there are enough teams interested. It would be a long day, but I think the opportunity to fence teams from outside CT would be invaluable. As an added bonus, any team that is on Mamaroneck's schedule gets invited to the Mamaroneck Open, which is in early December. Last year, the competition was pretty tough. Central's Jeff Jospeh came in 5th in Foil (tie), and Jeremy Wilson placed 4th, Devin Ellis 7th. Sabre and all the girl's events were strong also. I know we may all have crossover people - the only team that really cared was Mamaroneck, but since CT doesn't count on their regional records, it worked out. Also Pete - I would still be up for holding an armourer's clinic. With all my family stuff ( my dad's death, mom had 2 strokes, etc) things just got too crazy after the season to even think straight. I'd like to contact them before October, so please respond with interest/dates before then. Amy --------------------------------- Be a better Globetrotter.
